Join us on a journey that took us from the open vistas of Bornholm to the deep forests and historical echoes of Rügen. A trip filled with contrasting riding—everything from fast-sweeping asphalt to challenging gravel and classic German cobblestones.
We explore medieval ruins, visit poignant war memorials, enjoy award-winning craft beer, and marvel at grand architecture. This is our journey through the pearls of the Baltic—on two wheels.
Ferry from Sweden to Bornholm
Hammershus castle ruin
The traditional buildings in Rønne
Visit Østerlars Kirke
Four days of pure riding bliss on Bornholm are in the books! Our adventure bikes felt right at home sweeping through the island’s twisty roads and open landscapes.
From the historic heights of Hammershus and Østerlars round church to the intricate art at the sand museum, every stop delivered. We topped off the days with local beer tastings and great stories about the day's best bends. A perfect warmup before rolling onto the ferry for the next chapter: Rügen!
Ferry to Rügen
Visit Prora
Soldatenfriedhof Prora (Sassnitz)
Stralsund City hall
After the ferry from Bornholm, we rolled into Sassnitz and checked into some truly fantastic accommodation. Rügen immediately offered a completely different character – here, open plains were replaced by deep forests and technical riding.
We experienced the island's dark history at Prora, Hitler’s massive "holiday resort," and visited the poignant Soldatenfriedhof Prora, where the graves rest in the stillness of the forest.
The riding? Pure gold for adventure bikes! We got everything we could wish for:
Lovely twisty asphalt roads through lush forests.
Challenging sections of gravel and classic German cobblestones.
A stage filled with both reflection and some seriously great riding.
Our adventure reached new heights, catering to both the taste buds and the eyes. We steered our bikes toward the award-winning Insel-Brauerei, diving deep into their unique brewing artistry. Taking in the scent of the hops and sampling their world-class craft beers was the perfect break from the saddle.
The journey then continued to the beautiful Hanseatic city of Stralsund. Rolling into the historic quarters on our adventure bikes was an experience in itself. The absolute highlight was the majestic City Hall – an architectural gem that truly takes your breath away with its scale and intricate details.
Another day where culture, history, and motorcycling blended together perfectly!
